Cupping Tester

Manual cupping tester to determine the resistance of coatings of paints, varnishes and related products to cracking or adhesion of the substrate in different deformation conditions, according to UNE-EN ISO 1520.

The CT15 cupping tester is used at steel protection, galvanize, laboratory, coating and paint industry.

Revolutionary device to measure the resistance of coatings in various stages of deformation according to ISO 1520.

It allows to know the properties of the coating when stretched and its adhesion.

Using a polished sphere with a diameter of 20 mm, the test specimen is drawn until the appearance of cracks and the depth of the cracks is observed on the centesimal micrometer.

The manual force required to deform the test panel has been minimised, enabling smooth and constant deformation. Easy speed control, 0.25 mm per revolution, which facilitates compliance with the standard (0.2 - 0.3 mm/sec).

The degree of deformation is recorded digitally to a resolution of 0.01 mm.

Mandatory testing in Qualicoat, QUIB and GSB accredited laboratories.
